백미돔과 Family Lobotidae(Tripletails)
세계에 2속(Datnioides , Lobotes) 5종, 한국에 1속 1종이 알려져 있다. Datnioides 속의 종들은 임시적으로 본과에 포함되어 있는 중이다. 과를 독립시켜야 한다거나 다른 과로 옮겨야 한다는 주장들이 있다(출처/J.S. Nelson의 “Fishes of the World” 2006년 제4판). 본과에 1속 1종(백미돔) 만 포함시켜야 한다는 과학적 주장이 제기되어 있다. 구개골과 서골에 이빨이 없다.

Family Lobotidae(Tripletails)
Two genera(Datnioides, Lobotes) with about five species, one genus with one species in Korea. Palatine and vomer toothless, opercle with 2 spines. The inclusion of the species of Datnioides in this family is provisional, some works place it in its own family or have aligned it with other families.
