날쌔기과 Family Rachycentridae(Cobia)
세계에 단 1속 1종만 알려져 있다. 만새기과, 날쌔기과 그리고 빨판상어과는 단계통군(monophyletic group)이다, 즉 아주 가까운 인척관계에 있다. 날쌔기와 빨판상어의 유어기 모습은 거의 동일하며 단지 빨판상어의 등지느러미 가시는 흡반으로 변태하는 것이 다르다. 만새기도 치어 시기에는 이들과 유사하다.

Family Rachycentridae(Cobia)
One species worldwide, Rachycentron canadum. Family Rachycentridae, Coryphaenidae, and Echeneidae are thought to form a monophyletic group. The larval phases of these fishes are quite similar each other. The similarity between the cobia and remora is evident in juveniles, the larva of the dolphinfish bears a resemblance to that of the cobia, sugesting a relationship.Family Rachycentridae(Cobia)
