분포; 서북태평양: 일본 수루가 만에 분포.
일반개요; 체고가 매우 높고 등지느러미도 매우 높다. 하부 복부에 융기선이 있으며 몸의 단면은 삼각형이다. 피부치는 크며 피부는 채를 써는 강판처럼 거칠다. 입은 작고 머리 아래에 있다. 분수공은 크다. 수심 225~270m에서 정기준 표본(Holotype)이 잡혔다. 난태생.

Distribution: Northwest Pacific: Suruga Bay, Japan.
General: Holotype trawled from a depth between 225 and 270m. Dorsal fins high. Body distinctly deep, flank with ridge, cross section of body triangular. Dermal denticles large and coarse, body with grater-like surface. Mouth small, placed ventrally. Spiracle large. Ovoviviparous.
