분포; 서북태평양: 한국의 동해 남부, 일본 남부 및 타이완에서만 발견된다.
일반개요; 수심이 아주 깊은(200 - 400m) 바위 암초 지대에 서식하여 다이버들의 눈에 발견되기 어렵다. 참고할만한 사진이나 그림이 많이 없고 어떤 모습이 정확이 이 종인지 헷갈리는 점이 있다. 이 그림은 수중사진을 참고해 그린 것이다.

Distribution: Northwest Pacific: known only from southern Korea, southern Japan(including the Ryukyu Islands) and Taiwan.
General: Found on deeper rocky reefs. They occur at such great depths of from 200 to 400m that recreational divers cannot encounter them. This specimen’s photo rare to find. This drawing is based on an underwater photograph, quite different in color pattern from the several illustrations in other publications.
