분포; 서태평양/일본 남부, 타이완, 필리핀, 인도네시아 동부에 분포.
일반개요; 주둥이의 길이는 눈의 지름보다 짧다. 가슴지느러미와 배지느러미는 항문에 이르지 못한다. 등쪽은 옅은 붉은색이며 아래로는 밝아진다. 체측에 너비가 넓은 두 개의 노랑색 수평 띠무늬가 있으며 위의 것은 눈에서부터 시작된다. 150~300m 수심의 개펄 지역에 서식한다. 매우 희귀하게 어시장에서 발견된다.

Distribution: Western Pacific/southern Japan, Taiwan, Philippines and eastern Indonesia.
General: Snout length less than eye diameter. The pelvic and pectoral fins not reaching the anus. Body color is light reddish, becoming paler below. Two broad lateral yellow stripes are on sides, above one running from the eye. Muddy bottoms from 150 to 300m depth. Very rarely found in markets.
