분포; 인도양/홍해, 아덴 만, 수에즈 운하를 통해 지중해로 이주 분포함.
일반개요; 미병부의 검은 점은 측선에 걸쳐 위로 위치한다. 제2등지느러미와 뒷지느러미에는 희미하지만 노랑 줄과 청색 줄이 병행한다. 검은 줄무늬가 윗입술에서부터 눈을 지나 제2등지느러미의 후반부까지 이어져 있다. 측면은 백색이며 비늘들의 가장자리는 좁게 붉은색을 띤다.

Distribution: Indian Ocean: Red Sea into the Gulf of Aden. Suez canal migrant and established in the eastern Mediterranean.
General: A black stripe from upper lip through eye along upper side of body, ending beneath posterior part of second dorsal fin. Body below stripe white, scale edges narrowly reddish. A roundish black spot, mostly above lateral line. Second dorsal and anal fins with narrow blue and yellow pale stripes.
