분포; 인도•태평양 및 동남부 대서양/일본, 인도양, 태평양, 아프리카 서남부.
일반개요; 몸색은 은백색, 등지느러미와 뒷지느러미의 막은 검정색이며 기부는 비늘집 속으로 들어가 있다. 0~340m 수심에 나타난다. 외양성. 온대해역.

General: Body color silvery-white, membranes of dorsal and anal fins black, with scaly sheaths at its base. Depth range 0~340m. Pelagic. Temperate.
