강준치아과 Subfamily Cultrinae(Culters).
강준치 아과는 동아시아에 분포하는 물고기이다. 동아시아와 동남아시아 담수에 산다. 특히 중국에 많은 종이 서식하고 있다. 총 18속 약 85종이 알려져 있다. 한국에는 0000속 0000종이 알려져 있다. 강준치 아과의 외형 특징은 몸이 옆으로 납작하고 복부에 용골이 발달해 있으며 뒷지느러미 기저부가 길다는 점이다. 그러나     

강준치 무리들의 단계통성(monophyly/單系統性)이나 상호 간의 계보에 관해서는 연구된 것이 빈약하다. 여러 속 중에서 중국, 베트남, 한국, 러시아에 분포하는 Genus Culter 무리가 큰 비중을 차지한다.

Subfamily Cultrinae(Culters)
The cyprinid subfamily Cultrinae is a well-known component of the East Asian freshwater ichthyofauna. They are distributed throughout East and South East Asia, and exhibit greatest diversity and species richness in the mainland China. This subfamily includes eighteen genera, with approximately 85 species and with 00species ,00 genera in Korea. The Cutrinae are generally recognized by superficial characters such as the compressed body, well developed abdominal keel, and long based anal fin, but its monophyly and the relationships among its members are poorly understood. The genus Culter, found only in East Asia(China, Vietnam, Korea and Russia), is a primary group of freshwater fishes in the subfamily Cultrinae.
