분포; 인도•서태평양/한국의 제주도, 일본 남부, 서태평양, 오스트레일리아 동부 및 뉴질랜드에 분포. 일반개요; 등지느러미 후단 끝 기부에 백색 점이 있다. 꼬리지느러미 상엽과 하엽 가장자리 부분에 굵고 검은 띠가 있다. 모든 지느러미들이 푸른색을 띠며 그 범위는 가장자리 쪽으로 좁을 수도 있다. 푸른색은 흑청 색으로 나타날 때도 있다. 가슴지느러미 기부 위치의 몸에 둥근 흑색 반점이 있다. 3~25m 수심 바위 또는 산호지대 중층에 무리 지어 다니며 플랑크톤을 먹는다. 자리돔(Chromis notata) 무리와 섞여 다녀서 혼동된다. 난생이며 산란기에 일부일처 생태를 보인다. 알은 바닥에 붙여 낳고 수컷이 물바람을 불어주며 알을 보호한다. ※사진설명/연무자리돔의 수중사진. 촬영연도; 1997. 장소; Norfolk Island(오스트레일리아의 화산섬), 저자/Randall, J.E.

Korean. n. Yeon-mu-ja-ri-dom (연무자리돔)

Distribution: Indo-West Pacific/Jeju Island of Korea, southern Japan, western Pacific, eastern Australia and New Zealand.
General: Brown upper head and body, blue to gray below. White spot rear base of dorsal fin, broad dark borders on tail, black spot on body behind pectoral fin base. Fins with blue color, sometimes mainly on margins and sometimes the blue color turns to blackish blue. Form mid-water feeding aggregations over rock or coral reefs in 3~25m. Sometimes found in aggregations of Pearl-spot chromis(Chromis notata) in Korean waters. Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding. Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate. Males guard and aerate the eggs.
