Distribution; Northwest Pacific/westen and southern coasts of Korean Peninsula, and central Japan. General; This species is the only known member of its genus. Body elongated, head depressed, compressed posteriorly. Snout short. Upper jaw longer than lower jaw. With 2 separated dorsal fins, the base of second dorsal fin long, the base of anal fin shorter than second dorsal fin and start farther back. Margin of caudal fin rounded. Scales embedded under skin. Back ground color whitish yellow, darker dorsally, a dark brown stripe from head to caudal fin. Inhabits coastal waters. Found in tide pools of estuaries under stones.
