분포; 인도•서태평양: 걸프 어브 오만, 파키스탄, 인도, 스리랑카 등 인도양 동부에서부터 뉴기니에 이르는 서태평양에 분포.
일반개요; 대륙붕과 섬 사면에 서식하는 종으로 잘 알려져 있지 아니함. 물고기, 두족류 및 갑각류를 먹을 것으로 추정됨. 태생이다. 식용으로 이용된다. 멸종 위기종. ※ Pondicherry: 퐁디셰리: 인도 동부 마드라스 남쪽에 있는 항구 도시. 프랑스령이었으며 1954년에 인도령이 되었다.

Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Gulf of Oman to Pakistan, India, from the eastern India and the western Pacific ranging from India to New Guinea.
General: A little-known shark on the continental and insular shelves. Probably feeds on small fishes, cephalopods and crustaceans. Viviparous. Utilized for human consumption. Critically endangered species. ※ Pondicherry: the name of a city in India, liberated from French colony.
